Daria, the owner of The lash Room in Pembroke, MA wanted to completely overhaul her Wix website. Daria was most interested in adding a new page titled Permanent Makeup (click here to view the page) to showcase her services and then completely redoing the homepage. On top of these main issues she also wanted to fix as many other issues as possible and her main priority was Mobile Visual Formatting and Mobile Functionality. For this we knew we would have to build both the mobile and PC versions out separately to make sure the site would be perfect for the client.
We started by have an initial consultation with Daria on the phone. We then scheduled her for an appointment at our Bourne office and went to work immediately. We started out with the Permanent Makeup Page on the website. We created the entire page, including the custom graphics and header. After redesigning the Permanent Makeup Page, we moved on to the homepage. First, we created a custom header using Photoshop and the client's HD image seen on the current live website. Next, we designed and created a custom Lash Extension Volume Chart section. Finally, we created custom buttons with booking functionality for each service. Geidson DosReis, the owner of Lux Detailing in Duxbury, wanted to move away from his Wix website and their high monthly fee. He wanted WordPress as his CMS (content management system). Geidson did not want to lose any content or functionality from his Wix website in the process. He also did not want the site down for long enough to cripple the SEO and Google placement of his site. In this situation we always make a full copy of the client's website before anything else. After saving all the content, we then migrated his domain from Wix to GoDaddy. Next, we setup his hosting through GoDaddy at about $7.00 a month (yes that's right - seven dollars). His domain was then ready to be rebuilt on and have WordPress installed. At this point we began putting his website back together piece-by-piece. In less than 2 weeks we had his site completely finished and looking and functioning exactly the way it did on Wix.
